    Joella has worked in the field of wellness and fitness for over 35 years and believes in the integration of mind and body in relation to well-being, fitness and personal growth. She is a positive motivator with boundless energy that is contagious. She is a strong believer in core and functional training to help clients in their activities of daily living. She prides herself in assisting clients to develop a healthy and balanced lifestyle that can be easily maintained for life. 

     

    Whether you want to improve your strength, add muscle, improve your cardiovascular endurance, increase your flexibility or attain and/or maintain a healthy weight, she can customize a program for your specific needs. She believes that no two clients should be treated alike and that all should be encouraged to reach their highest potential. 

     

    Here at the University of Richmond she not only works as a personal trainer but teaches wellness and group fitness classes as well. She also has her master’s degree and clinical license in social work and worked in mental health and drug and alcohol rehabilitation for many years. She is married and has two adult children.
