Feedback and Frequently Asked Questions

Any member with a feedback comment, question or concern may submit their information using the feedback form below. Once the feedback has been submitted, a period of time may pass for further investigation by the University Recreation staff. The Department of University Recreation strives to resolve any comment brought to our attention, and will respond with more information depending upon the circumstances and/or situation. If action has been taken we respond with information, and may include your feedback anonymously in our FAQ below for future reference.

  • Where can I find the facility hours?

    The Weinstein Center for Recreation Facility hours are available on our main webpage. This page also includes announcements related to special hours or holiday closures, and we encourage members to visit this site for the most up to date facility information.

  • How old do you have to be to use the facility?

    Members and guest must be at least 16 to use our facilility without an adult or guardian. Any member or guest under the age of 16 may use our facility, as long as they are accompanied by an adult or guardian at least 18 years of age.

    All members and guests under the age of 16 must be supervised by an adult or guardin in the same activity area at all times. Young children should be within arms length of their adult or guardian.

  • Can members bring guests for free?

    We are currently reviewing all of our guest policies and will take this into consideration. For now all of our guest (regardless of membership type) are required to pay the nominal guest rates.

  • Who can take fitness classes at the Weinstein Center?

    All active members of the Weinstein Center have access to all fitness classes offered. This includes:

    • All full-time employees & dependents, full-time students, and retirees
    • All community and paid membership types*

    *Paid guests and self-sponsored alumni can only attend classes that do not require advanced registration.

  • What type of footwear can I work out in?

    The Weinstein Center for Recreation requires close-toed atheltic footwear when working out in our facility. Members are not allowed to exercise in open-toed shoes, crocs, and other casual footwear.

    If you are unsure if your footwear may be appropriate, please check in with our staff before exercising.

  • Why did the tv channels change?
    As of June 2024, the University of Richmond will be moving to the Off-Air Channel Lineup across campus. Some channels will no longer be accessible in our facility. Screens on our fitness equipment will also move over to the Off-Air Channel Lineup.
