Chris holds the certified strength and conditioning specialist credential from the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He holds a BS in exercise science from VCU. After graduation he continued his studies as a professional development student in exercise physiology at UVA. He has over two decades of experience in fitness and wellness, working with a range of populations from athletes to seniors. Chris is a proponent of compound, multi joint movements blended with specific therapeutic exercises and mobility training which leads to a higher level of functional fitness. He also assists his clients with clean eating, relaxation techniques and assisted stretching. Whether your goal is weight loss, reducing lower back pain, getting stronger or you just want a reset on your current program, schedule a session now. Chris’s clients usually fall into one of the following two categories:
Fitness and Wellness. Objective, to enhance your overall fitness level so you can reap the benefits such as reduced blood pressure, better balance, reduced risk of injury, more strength and more energy. The program is tailored to you and is based around the three elements of the fitness paradigm (strength, mobility, cardio) but also includes specific training based on your needs. Clean eating techniques and journaling may be incorporated on a case by case basis.
Sports Conditioning. Objective, to help you be the best athlete you can be by building and enhancing athletic attributes such as speed, agility, strength and power, conditioning, footwork, etc. Compound exercises and olympic lifts and variants may be used as well as sport specific drills and program design based on the current season or macrocycle. Recovery is taught and prioritized.
Chris is a Richmond native and enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. He stays active through strength training, basketball, mountain biking, backpacking, trail running and nature photography.
