*Proposed Changes to the Wellness Graduation Requirement*

The University of Richmond is known for its commitment to a personal, well-rounded student experience.  In an effort to enhance wellbeing and increase academic productivity, the University has established a wellness graduation requirement that provides health education on the topics that have the greatest impact on students during their college years.  Principle 5 of the Richmond Promise specifically highlights enhancing the current wellness graduation requirement.  In an effort to achieve our goal, the Recreation & Wellness Department has studied the current wellness graduation requirement and received feedback from students, faculty and staff as to how to enhance the program and put the University of Richmond in the forefront of educating the whole student - body, mind and spirit.   Please take a moment to review the Recommendations for Proposed Changes to the Wellness Graduation Requirement.  For more information on the proposed changes please feel free to contact Tracy Cassalia, Manager, Health Education & Wellness at tcassali@richmond.edu or at 804-289-8464.
