Trips

OAR offers a wide variety of subsidized trips to full-time faculty/staff, eligible dependents, and students ranging from white water rafting to skiing. Check out our schedule below to see what trips are on the horizon for this semester.

Participate Eligibility

All full-time faculty/staff, family of faculty/staff, Weinstein Center for Recreation and Wellness Employees, and Weinstein Community Members are eligible to register for OAR trips. In summary, if you have a paid or complimentary membership to the Weinstein Center for Recreation and Wellness, then you are eligible to register for OAR trips.

Age Requirements

The OAR program is dedicated to the safety of participants during all of our programs. For this reason, we ask that the following guidelines be followed: All participants must be a minimum of 12 years of age. * Participants under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult/guardian and must be supervised, and within an arm’s length during the entirety of the trip. * Please be aware that the OAR program reserves the right to adjust the Child Policy depending on the trip, level of risk, and the guidelines of contracted companies.

Weinstein Center Portal

The Weinstein Center Portal is now available for on-line program registration and to purchase massage therapy and personal training sessions. Visit services.recreation.richmond.edu to log-in, make your selections and pay using Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover credit cards.

Be sure to log-in to the portal before making your selections in order to receive the correct pricing. Full-time students and Full-time employees click the orange button on the log-in page and use your UR Net ID and 16 digit password. All other members will use a local account to access the portal. Refund Policy

Refunds will be given up to 5-days before date of trip. You must cancel your registration by the date given on the registration form if you would like to be reimbursed for the trip. In order to be refunded you will need to email OAR@richmond.edu to cancel your trip registration. If you paid with cash or spidercard, you will also need to complete a check request in order to be reimbursed. Check requests can take up to 30 days to process.

Cancellation Policy

If the trip is cancelled, we will inform participants and reschedule the trip. The Outdoor Adventure Staff reserves the right to make the decision on cancelling the trip due to risk management concerns such as dangerous weather, high water levels, and low participation numbers. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled trip, your payment can be transferred to any future OAR Trips. Outdoor Adventure Staff will decide a minimum of 12 hours in advance if the trip is going to be cancelled.
