Massage Therapy Program

The Weinstein Center for Recreation & Wellness offers massage therapy appointments with licensed massage therapists to students, faculty, staff, and community members.

Important Notice: University of Richmond employees, dependents and retirees are allotted five massage therapy sessions for the 2017 calendar year. The session will expire within one year from the date of purchase. You must be 18 years of age to participate in the Massage Therapy Program.

Step 2: Visit the Weinstein Center Portal at services.recreation.richmond.edu to log-in, make your selections and pay using Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover credit cards.

Weinstein Center Portal Instructions: 

Be sure to log-in to the portal before making your selections in order to receive the correct pricing. Full-time students and Full-time employees click the orange button on the log-in page and use your UR Net ID and 16 digit password. All other members will use a local account to access the portal. Please contact Member Services at (804) 289-8361 to set-up your account.

Once logged into the portal, click on the multi-visit pass option and select massage therapy. If you wish to purchase multiple sessions, click continue shopping and add other session(s) to your cart. Once you have the desired amount, click check-out to make one payment. Please note massage therapy appointments are not scheduled through the Weinstein Center portal. You will receive an email within three business days to schedule your appointments using the Appointments Plus program. If you have any questions, please contact wellness@richmond.edu

Employee Wellness Massage Therapy Program

All full-time University employees are eligible to receive a discounted rate for massage therapy. Eligible employees will receive five massages per year at the discounted rate. To take advantage of this opportunity, please complete the Employee Wellness Massage Therapy Application and return with payment to the Weinstein Center for Recreation and Wellness. Retirees, spouses/domestic partners, and dependents of eligible employees are able to participate in the Employee Wellness Massage Therapy Program.

Changes to the Massage Therapy Program

January 2017

Beginning January 2017 there will be some exciting changes to the massage therapy program.

  • Full-time staff, their dependents, and retirees will be eligible to purchase 5 sessions at the discounted rate of $20. The limit of 5 discounted sessions per year will be calculated from January 1-December 31 (similar to all benefits offered by the University).
  • All sessions will now expire one (1) year from purchase date (ex. purchase 5 sessions on January 9, 2017 the sessions would expire January 9, 2018).
  • Employees can purchase massage sessions at the community rate of $65 once they have reached the limit of 5 discounted sessions for the year.

Participants will still need to complete a massage therapy application and submit with payment to the Member Services Desk before any sessions can be scheduled.
