Men's Varsity Club Lacrosse

For the 2011-12 season, the Varsity Club Men's Lacrosse Team has officially made the move from Division II of the National College Lacrosse League (NCLL) to Division I of the more competitive and organized Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA). More specifically, Richmond will compete in the Southeastern Conference (SELC) of the MCLA against the likes of Florida State, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, West Virginia University, and Clemson, among others. The University of Richmond is the smallest school to ever be allowed in Division I of the MCLA. However, due to demonstrated support by the school administration and alumni, coupled with strong recruiting efforts by the coaching staff, the MCLA Executive Board felt that Division I was the logical fit for the University of Richmond.
