Our Goal is Helping You Reach YoursVisit Member Services for assistance anytime during your visit to the Weinstein Center. We can provide information about all facilities, schedules, programs and services provided by the Recreation and Wellness department.
Weinstein Center Membership Eligibility
The following individuals are eligible for free membership to the Weinstein Center for Recreation and Wellness:
- Full-time students
- Full-time faculty and staff and their families (spouse/domestic partner and dependents under age 24)
- Retirees and families (spouse/domestic partner and dependents under age 24)
- 5th year experience participants
The definition of full-time is more specifically defined by the Registrar’s Office (students) and Human Resources (employees). In addition, the definition of family is consistent with guidelines established by Human Resources.
The 5th year experience is defined as any recent full-time University of Richmond graduate (May 2009 or later) that had "free access" to the Weinstein Center for Recreation and Wellness.
AccessMembers enter their ID number into a keypad which prompts them to place their hand in the biometrics reader. This system provides easy access for our members and provides Recreation and Wellness an accurate record of participation. One of the most attractive features of hand biometrics is its efficiency. Your hand cannot be lost, forgotten or stolen like an ID card or password. The device is not storing finger or hand prints. The device measures the size and shape of your hand and converts the dimensions into a number that is attached to your membership record. See Member Services to enroll.
